This highly mobile role involves traveling across the San Antonio region to support communities through transitional phases, distressed property revitalizations, and new acquisitions.

\What You’ll Be Doing

  • Travel between multiple communities throughout the San Antonio area to support Valiant communities as needed.
  • Conduct on-site property visits to assess physical conditions, operations, and compliance with Valiant standards.
  • Serve as interim Community Manager for properties in transition until permanent leadership is placed.
  • Lead the first week of onboarding and integration for new acquisitions, ensuring a smooth operational handoff.
  • Partner with regional leadership, operations, and support teams to resolve challenges and drive results.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of property status, improvement plans, and progress milestones.
  • Report regularly to senior leadership on community performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Supporting properties during vacancies, leaves of absence, acquisitions, or distressed situations
  • Quickly assessing operational challenges and implementing solutions
  • Training and mentoring onsite team members
  • Assisting with audits, file reviews, compliance reviews, and process implementation
  • Assist struggling properties that need operational support
  • Supporting lease-up, turnaround, or stabilization efforts
  • Providing leadership continuity during staffing transitions
  • Adapting to different client requirements, systems, and team dynamics


Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Property Manager in the multifamily housing industry.
  • Demonstrated success in stabilizing and turning around underperforming assets.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines across various communities.
  • Creative, strategic thinker with a solution-oriented mindset and the ability to adapt in dynamic environments.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for fostering collaboration and team development.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Comfortable with extensive travel across the region to support multiple communities as needed.
  • Experience with Yardi or similar property management software is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish preferred.


Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • College degree preferred.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, climb, stoop, and remain at a desk for a period of up to 8 hours or more if needed.
  • Regular regional travel as needed.
  • Must be able to walk the property for a period of up to 8 hours (or more) in various weather conditions.
  • Must have the ability to climb stairs for purposes of showing properties to prospective tenants.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. as needed.
