Job Summary:

This position is responsible for preparation of all paperwork related to release orders to our customers, including communications with customer, BOL’s, ID labels (OWK), etc., confirming all ASN’s and other customer required documentation either at customer website and/or the ERP system. Duties include printing, scanning, recording, and storing files and electronic information as required to minimize customer complaints and ensure ASN’s submission in a timely manner.


Main Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

· Receive truck drivers and assign docks to unload/load.

· Access customer website and print all documentation related to shipping orders.

· Administer and release documentation in a timely manner to the supervisor so orders can be prepared accordingly.

· Effective communication (verbal and written) with customer to notify any shortages to expected orders in a timely manner using official formats.

· Ensure Customer required information are scanned into their system in a timely manner to minimize complaints (TSCS).

· Keep track and confirm all ASN’s, after all documentation is submitted, into the ERP system.

· Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the receiving/ shipping area.

· Adhere to EHS and company policies, and standard work expectations

· Actively participate in continuous improvement activities.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

 Education:

· High school diploma or GED 

· Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering,   Business Administration, or related field. Graduate degree a plus.

 

Experience:

· 1 year of related experience in Shipping and Receiving.

· 2 years of warehouse experience.

· Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.   QAD preferred.

· Minimum of 6 months of experience   in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.

· Prior experience in plastics or   injection molding preferred but not required.

Computer   Skills:

· Basic skills using iPads, data entry, email, and web applications

 

Mathematical   Abilities:

· Intermediate-advanced math skills.   

 

Analytical   or Reasoning Abilities

· Strong analytical, planning skills and critical thinking ability   required with orientation for continuous improvement.

· Ability to effectively prepare business and technical documentation   such as procedures, reports, presentations, etc. 

· Ability to understand and follow written technical   procedures/instructions 

· Ability to identify and report potential quality or safety issues. 

 

Communication   Skills: (Writing, Foreign Language, Reasoning)

· Ability to read, write and speak English

· Highly effective, articulate communication skills (verbal &   written) with strong interpersonal effectiveness and the ability to work with   all levels in the organization and across cultures

· Bilingual English-Spanish preferred

· Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work.

Physical Requirements: 

Be willing to meet the physical requirements below and work overtime as needed, sometimes with minimum notice (including some weekends and holidays) to cover responsibilities based on the needs of the organization

· 75% of the time will be spent doing desk related work on a computer and working with basic office equipment (PC, fax and printer, phones) while the remaining 25% will be spent on the production floor completing work related to the position

· Must be able to lift 25 pounds individually and team lift 50 pounds 

· Must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others. 

· Must wear all personal protective equipment where required.
