Overall Responsibilities
This role is responsible to provide assistance with business decisions and building customer selling decks by using a variety of data sources including shipment as well as POS data. Being able to pull data from Tableau as well as 3rd party vendors like SPINS, IRI Circana, etc. as well as customer databases, like Costco CRX, Walmart 360, IX-One, ReposiTtrak, and the like.
Specific Key Responsibilities & Duties
Data management and insights
- Analyze and drive insights, provide feedback, and seek to collaborate and influence organizational leaders in management of corporate and customer data, including across a wide variety of platforms (IRI, SPINS, Shipment data, customer portals including CRX) to add to Tableau and/or Pivot Table reports; leads creation, deployment, and accuracy of data reports to provide visibility to business performance
- Interpret and present data by identifying opportunities to drive the business; present learnings and recommendations more broadly to key stakeholders
- Works cross functionally with both internal and external (field sales) partners to enable Sales Planning initiatives/priorities to include business plan releases, AMPS support, new item sales decks, etc.
- Own sales input process for select business initiatives as needed
- Interpret data and create selling stories that drive distribution opportunities
- Consistently turning data into insights that lead to business decisions
- Work with Demand planning to review detailed sales forecasts once sales has submitted their forecast
- Assist the Sales Organization with analytics such as forecast accuracy and trade analysis
- Present reports, findings and provide recommendations to senior leadership teams
- Ad hoc projects and reports as required
- Train and educate on data where applicable
Skills and Abilities:
- High proficiency in MS office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) as well as analytic tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytic ability
- Experience with POS data and experience in consumer-packaged goods is a must
- Experience in Sales, Finance and/or Marketing is a must
- Strong project management skills with high level of attention to detail
- Great communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within team environment
- Demonstrates flexibility to adapt in fast paced environment
