ALEX – Alternative Experts is seeking a Graphics Specialist to support the development of high-quality visual and multimedia products in a federal environment. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining graphics, illustrations, and multimedia content that enhance technical documentation, briefings, and publications. The position requires strong design skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, visually effective formats that support mission objectives.
- Design and develop visual materials including charts, graphs, illustrations, infographics, and other visual aids for technical and analytical publications
- Produce multimedia products using industry-standard tools (e.g., CorelDraw, Adobe Photoshop or equivalent)
- Translate complex concepts and technical content into clear, engaging visual representations
- Support the development and formatting of documents, presentations, and publication-ready materials
- Maintain and organize digital assets, including archives of images, graphics, videos, and reference materials
- Ensure consistency in formatting, style, and visual presentation across all deliverables
- Collaborate with analysts, editors, and technical teams to support document production and visualization needs
- Apply established standards and processes for document production and publishing
- Ensure all visual materials meet quality, clarity, and formatting standards
Experience:
Candidates must demonstrate experience in two (2) or more of the following areas:
- Graphics or multimedia development using tools such as CorelDraw, Photoshop, or similar applications
- Development of visual materials including charts, graphs, illustrations, and publication graphics
- Maintenance and organization of digital archives (images, videos, visual assets, and supporting materials)
- Experience supporting structured document development or publishing processes
- Ability to support technical or analytical documentation through visual design
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience supporting federal or DoD programs
- Familiarity with structured documentation or publishing workflows
- Ability to work in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and visual consistency
- Experience translating technical content into user-friendly visual formats
Education:
- Associate degree (or higher) in Graphic Design, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Management, or related discipline;
- OR Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
