 **This position is contingent upon award of contract/contract requirements.**   


ALEX – Alternative Experts is seeking a Terminologist to support the standardization, consistency, and management of terminology across technical and analytical documentation. This role ensures alignment of terminology within structured documents, supports updates to approved terminology sources, and contributes to the accuracy and clarity of content across multiple deliverables. The position requires strong attention to detail, familiarity with structured documentation processes, and the ability to collaborate with analysts and editors to maintain consistency across materials.

Requirements
  • Review and ensure consistency of terminology across multiple documents, publications, and data sources
  • Support the standardization and proper usage of terminology within technical and analytical content
  • Verify alignment of terminology with approved reference sources and established standards
  • Assist in updating terminology based on approved changes and maintaining accuracy across documents
  • Ensure consistency of data and terminology between related documents and supporting materials
  • Collaborate with analysts, editors, and stakeholders to resolve terminology discrepancies
  • Support document development and publication processes by applying consistent terminology standards
  • Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to manage and review content
  • Maintain accuracy, organization, and version control of terminology-related data and documentation

Required Experience:

Candidates must demonstrate experience in two (2) or more of the following areas:

  • Familiarity with structured terminology sources and processes for managing and updating approved terms
  • Experience supporting documentation development, review, or publishing processes
  • Ensuring consistency of data and terminology across multiple documents
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for document and data management
  • Supporting quality control or document standardization efforts

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting federal or DoD programs
  • Familiarity with structured documentation or publishing workflows
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on consistency and accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience supporting technical or analytical document review processes

Education and Certifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline;
  • OR No degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
