Summary
Operate equipment and oversee people and operations in a manufacturing department.

Task Overview

  • Assign personnel to execute tasks to meet the daily productivity requirements.
  • Ensure operators are running productively.
  • Report equipment, safety, personnel, and IT problems to the appropriate department. 
  • Complete a daily report. 
  • Perform rework and pull material to meet demand.
  • Correct transactions in SAP.
  • Train new operators in the converting and packing process.
  • Validate cleanliness and effectiveness of converting blades and machine prior to running material.
  • Inspect material for defects.  If defective material is found, identify the appropriate rework requirement, or scrap the defective material.
  • Perform accurate issues, receipt, and scrap transactions; preserve batch traceability.
  • Package the rolls with the appropriate packaging material.
  • Label all rolls with the correct core and box label.
  • Maintain a clean working environment, 5S.
Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum four (4) years in Manufacturing.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience leading people (“Lead”, “Supervisor”, “Team Leader”, “Back Up Lead”, etc.) 
  • Effective communication skills, in the English language (listening, verbal, written, inter-personal).
  • Positive attitude, organized, with great time management and customer service skills.
  • Ability, willingness, and availability to work any day and shift, per business needs.


Pay Transparency
The current pay rate for this position is between $24.00 - $28.00 per hour. Rate of pay will depend on factors such as market conditions and location, job-related knowledge and skills, education, training and experience. If hired, employment will be at will. The Company reserves the right to modify pay, as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program, at any time.
