We're looking for a Pool Attendant to join our team at Veramendi, a vibrant master-planned community in New Braunfels known for its active lifestyle, beautiful amenities, and strong sense of connection. In this role, you'll help create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for residents and guests at the community pool.

This is an opportunity to spend your summer working outdoors, engaging with residents, and helping maintain one of the community's most popular amenities.

We're hoping to welcome new team members by July 3, 2026, so we're looking for candidates who can start quickly and are available throughout the summer season.

What You'll Do


Welcome Residents & Monitor Pool Access

  • Greet residents and guests in a friendly, professional manner
  • Verify resident eligibility and guest access according to community policies
  • Monitor pool access and help prevent unauthorized entry
  • Serve as a visible, approachable representative of the community

Promote Safety & Enforce Community Standards

  • Enforce pool rules and amenity policies in a respectful and consistent manner
  • Monitor pool deck activity and address unsafe or prohibited behavior
  • Report incidents, safety concerns, or maintenance issues as needed
  • Help create a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors

Maintain a Clean & Welcoming Pool Environment

  • Pick up trash and debris throughout the pool area
  • Straighten pool furniture and common areas
  • Conduct visual inspections of gates, signage, fencing, and amenities
  • Report supply needs, damaged equipment, or maintenance concerns

Support Daily Operations

  • Complete incident and observation reports as needed
  • Communicate daily observations and concerns to management
  • Follow established operating procedures and community guidelines
  • Assist with other pool-area support duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to enforce rules calmly, professionally, and consistently
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout assigned shifts
  • Previous customer service, hospitality, concierge, security, or similar experience is helpful but not required

Additional Requirements

  • Must be available to work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
  • Available shifts: 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds as needed
  • Available to work throughout the summer season, including holiday weekends

Please Note: This is not a lifeguard position. Pool Attendants are responsible for access control, customer service, rule enforcement, observation, and reporting. They are not responsible for water rescue or swimmer supervision.
