Key Responsibilities:

- Staff and manage the front desk area during scheduled hours, typically from 10 am to 7 pm during the school year and 9 am to 6 pm during summer and school holidays, including a one-hour lunch break

- Answer incoming telephone calls, route calls to appropriate staff or voicemail, and retrieve general voicemail messages daily

- Maintain knowledge of staff members, their positions, and areas of responsibility to effectively direct calls and visitors

- Be familiar with staff schedules, including absences and PTB schedules, to provide accurate information

- Greet visitors at the door, verify identity via security camera, and admit visitors accordingly

- Direct deliveries to the appropriate location and staff member, utilizing knowledge of the building layout

- Provide general information about Girls Inc., including center hours and program offerings, to visitors and callers


Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in front desk or receptionist roles preferred

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

- Knowledge of building security procedures and visitor management

- Familiarity with office technology, including phones, voicemail systems, and security cameras

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally

Requirements

 Education, Skills, and Experience 

  • High School Diploma 
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office software, especially Word & Excel
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organizational skills, self-starter and detail oriented
  • Experience working in an office environment 
  • Experience with multi-line phone system
