Talent Acquisition & HR Specialist
Remote Worker - N/A Human Resources
Description

Company Overview

Yanmar Compact Equipment North America (YCENA) designs, manufactures, and supports a growing line of compact equipment for the construction, agriculture, and industrial markets. As part of the global Yanmar organization, we are committed to delivering quality products, exceptional dealer and customer experiences, and meaningful career opportunities for our people. We are building a high-performing team to support our continued growth across North America.

Position Summary

The Talent Acquisition & HR Specialist is a hybrid role that leads full-cycle recruiting as its primary focus while flexing into broader HR support as hiring volume allows. On the recruiting side, this role attracts, engages, and hires top talent across YCENA, with particular emphasis on business-critical and hard-to-fill roles, including positions in rural and remote markets. When active requisitions are lighter, this role redirects capacity toward HR generalist and support activities — onboarding, employee records and HRIS upkeep, benefits and policy support, and HR projects — providing consistent, well-rounded support to the HR function. Acting as a strategic partner to hiring managers and a reliable resource to employees, this is a remote position with the flexibility to operate independently while collaborating closely with HR and leadership across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus)

• Manage full-cycle recruiting — from intake and sourcing through interview, offer, and close — across a portfolio of active requisitions.

• Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies (job boards, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and talent communities) to build diverse, qualified candidate pipelines.

• Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, calibrate candidate profiles, and guide them through an efficient, consistent hiring process.

• Recruit for hard-to-fill, business-critical, and rural/remote positions, applying creative strategies to reach passive and hard-to-source talent.

• Build and maintain talent pipelines for current openings and anticipated workforce needs.

• Own and continuously improve the recruiting process, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and a positive, professional candidate experience at every stage.

• Maintain accurate, timely data in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and report on key recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, pipeline health, and source effectiveness.

• Represent and strengthen the Yanmar employer brand, supporting talent attraction and employer branding initiatives.

• Ensure recruiting practices comply with applicable employment laws and company policies across U.S. and Canadian markets.

HR Support & Generalist Activities (As Needed)

• Coordinate new-hire onboarding and orientation, partnering with hiring managers and HR to ensure a smooth first-day and ramp-up experience.

• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data, supporting data integrity, routine reporting, and audits.

• Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions on HR policies, benefits, and processes, escalating to HR leadership as appropriate.

• Support benefits administration activities, including enrollments, life-event changes, and general employee inquiries.

• Assist with HR programs and projects such as performance review cycles, employee engagement initiatives, and training coordination.

Help maintain HR compliance and documentation (e.g., I-9s, employment records) across U.S. and Canadian markets, and support offboarding logistics

• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards).

• Strong stakeholder management and hiring-manager partnership skills.

• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

• Working knowledge of core HR functions (onboarding, HRIS/records, benefits, and compliance), with the versatility to support both recruiting and general HR activities.

• Familiarity with U.S. and Canadian employment practices, with sound judgment in handling confidential employee information.
