We are currently looking for the right person to join our Custom Cabinet and Millwork team at our Menomonee Falls location as a Cabinet Vision Engineer (CNC Programmer). This is a full-time opportunity with a Monday through Friday schedule.

Requirements

Summary:  Plans numerical control program to control contour path machining of wood parts on automatic machine tools by performing the following duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Learn, use, and maintain proficiency in Epicor BisTrack software
  • Collaborate with the material purchasing team to ensure accurate and timely purchase orders
  • Review Cabinet Vision drawings and related files from designers and prepare them for manufacturing
  • Support continuous improvement efforts in Cabinet Vision, including developing and organizing assemblies within the library
  • Serve as a key liaison between design and manufacturing, answering questions and supporting build accuracy
  • Troubleshoot design challenges and maintain quality control standards for design output
  • Perform virtual and/or physical trial runs to validate programs and processes
  • Review blueprints and drawings to plan cutting and machining sequences
  • Evaluate design feasibility and ensure manufacturability of concepts
  • Incorporate cabinetry design knowledge, construction methods, appliance specifications, and building codes into layouts
  • Prepare or coordinate detailed manufacturing drawings and specifications, including dimensions, materials, and features
  • Design and develop detailed cabinetry drawings, fixtures, and production-ready components
  • Collaborate with leadership to align on project scope, timelines, and production schedules


Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of related experience or technical certification (or equivalent combination)
  • Proficiency in CabinetVision, AutoCAD, and basic computer applications
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and technical documents
  • Strong understanding of cabinet construction, materials, and basic building practices
  • Ability to create take-offs and support project pricing
  • Solid math skills, including working with measurements, fractions, and decimals
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to read a tape measure and understand units of measure
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams
  • Knowledge of safety practices; ability to obtain forklift certification as needed
