The Field Project Manager (Market Manager) runs the day-to-day of the market. You build the daily schedule, protect margins, work with our clients, and make sure the work that gets done is the work that gets billed. You lead the field team, oversee a Field Services Manager who executes operations, and act as the bridge between the field and the business. You delegate the legwork, but running a healthy, profitable market is your responsibility.


Job Responsibilities


1. Run the market day to day - own operations, margins, client satisfaction, and market performance.

2. Build the daily crew schedule and route the work efficiently with the Field Operations Coordinator.

3. Maintain accurate, timely data entry - match field work quantity sheets to internal systems and approve sales orders daily.

4. Own margin visibility - track gross profit by site, crew, and builder; and catch problems before month-end.

5. Serve as the primary contact for active clients - service quality, communication, and quick issue resolution.

6. Conduct regular site visits and quality checks; visit new-start communities and ensure crews are prepared.

7. Lead, hire, develop, and hold accountable a high-performing, high integrity field team.

8. Oversee the Field Services Manager and hold the field accountable to the schedule.

9. Run a weekly crew meeting covering safety, expectations, and the work ahead.

10. Control costs across labor, overtime, equipment, fuel, vehicles, tools, and inventory.

11. Assist the office in resolving billing and accounts-receivable issues when needed.

12. Reinforce Valor culture - professionalism, communication, work ethic, and safety standards.

13. Operate company vehicles and equipment safely; enforce safety protocols and correct unsafe behavior.

14. Willing to travel periodically from market to market to meet with clients and check on job sites.

15. Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. Minimum of one year of leadership experience.

2. AA/AS degree or equivalent experience.

3. 1 - 3 years of experience or involvement in the construction industry.

4. Physically capable of working outdoors full-time.

5. Valid Driver's License and approved to be on company driving insurance.

6. Basic computer knowledge.

7. Strong organization, leadership, and communication skills.

8. Dependable transportation.

9. Good command of the English language, written and spoken.

10. Knowledge of erosion control is a plus.

$60,000 - $70,000
