Description
  1. Prepare and bake artisan breads, rolls, muffins, cookies, pastries, cakes, and specialty desserts. 
  2. Fully execute cake baking production, including mixing batters, baking layers, cooling, leveling, filling, and stacking cakes. 
  3. Decorate and finish cakes and pastries using techniques such as piping, glazing, icing, fondant work, and garnishing. 
  4. Produce high-quality baked goods according to recipes, production schedules, and presentation standards. 
  5. Maintain consistency in breads, pastries and cake quality. 
  6. Manage full pastry and cake production timelines to ensure freshness and timely delivery. 
  7. Mix, proof, shape, and bake breads while maintaining consistency and quality standards. 
  8. Monitor baking times, temperatures and product appearance to ensure optimal results. 
  9. Develop and recommend new baked goods, seasonal items, and specialty cake designs. 
  10. Maintain creativity in desserts and presentation. 
  11. Maintain inventory levels of baking and cake-decorating ingredients and supplies. 
  12. Maintain strong time management and production efficiency. 
  13. Assist with ordering and receiving bakery and cake production supplies. 
  14. Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. 
  15. Properly store ingredients and finished baked goods to maintain freshness and quality. 
  16. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bakery and cake production area. 
  17. Operate bakery equipment safely, including mixers, ovens, proofers, and decorating tools. 
  18. Collaborate with culinary and events teams for custom cake orders and special functions. 
  19. Demonstrate reliability and teamwork. 
  20. Support production planning for daily service and high-volume event cake production. 
Requirements
  1. WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years of professional baking experience preferred. Strong experience in cake baking and pastry production - cake decorating, layering, and finishing techniques. 
  2. SKILLS: Knowledge of baking science including doughs, batters, fermentation, and cake structure. Ability to follow recipes precisely and maintain consistency. 
  3. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  4. CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: Valid Driver’s License, clean 5-year driving background, and ServSafe Certification
  5. LANGUAGE: Complete written and oral knowledge of the English language is required.
  6. SECURITY/CONFIDENTIALITY: All materials and information obtained through working with our company may not be given or transferred outside of the company. Violation of confidentiality is grounds for termination.
  7. TRAINING: Any training held is mandatory.
  8. PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: Must be willing to adjust to last minute changes, engage and assist sales and kitchen staff and supervise a multi-cultural staff and fill-in wherever needed.
  9. WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT: Fast paced environment, high noise level, frequent walking, long hours on big event days and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  10. Attendance requirements for this job: Hours worked are variable due to the nature of the business. Must be able to work nights and weekends are required for business needs.
Salary Description
$24 hourly (or more depending on experience level)
