Material Handler I
Description

SUMMARY

Ensure the accurate receipt and shipping of material while providing service to internal and 

external customers.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be 

assigned.


Store materials.

Utilize Epicor software system. 

Load and unload trucks.

Issue and return materials.

Package materials to support outbound activities. 

Support housekeeping activities.

Perform other duties as required.

SAFETY TRAINING To perform this job successfully, an individual must complete and 

maintain Safety Training according to the Safety Training Matrix.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related 

experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Able to 

operate Microsoft Windows or equivalent.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid driver’s license. Forklift experience preferred.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance 

instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively to peers and management 

regarding all facets of job responsibilities.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, 

common fractions, and decimals.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations 

where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished 

in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 200 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral and 

depth perception. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear.
