The Role at a Glance:
The Director of Plant Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and safety of the facility's physical infrastructure and daily production activities.
How You’ll Create Greater Impact:
In this role, you’ll help deliver the highest quality product while upholding our unwavering commitment to animal welfare, food safety, and responsible farming. You’ll act boldly, embrace continuous improvement, and partner with teammates and customers to deliver wins.
- Operational Management: Oversees daily facility operations, including production schedules, workflow efficiency, and inventory management. Facility operations include processing, warehouse, maintenance and sanitation.
- Facility & Equipment Maintenance: Directs preventative maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems to ensure zero-loss operations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensures the facility meets all federal, state, and local standards, specifically OSHA, NFPA, EPA, GMP, HACCP, USDA, etc.
- Internal Compliance: Ensure operations comply with all internal policies, procedures, and controls.
- Safety Leadership: Establish employee Health & Safety as a priority for all operations.
- Financial Oversight: Manages departmental budgets, analyzes P&L statements, and negotiates vendor contracts to maximize profitability and cost-efficiency.
- Project Management: Leads capital improvement projects, including new construction, renovations, and equipment upgrades.
What You’ll Bring to the Flock:

- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 5+ years of progressive management experience in facilities, manufacturing, or plant operations, preferably in the egg industry.
- Superior leadership, technical proficiency in building systems, data analysis, and excellent communication skills.
- Bilignual in English/Spanish a plus but not required
- Egg Processing a plus but not required
Work Schedule & Hours:
- Day Shift - Flexible Schedule
- Work hours are primarily during the day, with flexibility in start and end times based on business needs.
- Shifts may extend up to 10–12 hours depending on project demands, deadlines, or organizational priorities.
- Daily schedules may vary due to meetings, process improvement initiatives, data analysis needs, or cross-functional collaboration.
- Flexibility is required to adjust working hours to support continuous improvement efforts and evolving business needs.
