We are seeking a Lifestyle & Catering Sales Manager to join our Sales & Marketing team. This position plays an important role in driving catering revenue, building client relationships, supporting marketing initiatives, and creating lifestyle programming and activations that elevate the guest experience while supporting the overall success of the hotel.
 

Position Summary

The Lifestyle & Catering Sales Manager is responsible for generating, selling, and executing social and corporate catering opportunities while supporting hotel marketing initiatives, community engagement, and lifestyle programming. This role manages events from initial inquiry through final execution while partnering with clients and internal teams to deliver seamless, high-quality experiences. In addition, the position assists with hotel activations, promotional events, community partnerships, and marketing efforts that strengthen the Cascade Hotel brand and drive guest engagement. The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven hospitality professional with strong sales instincts, creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for creating memorable experiences.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Generate new catering business through proactive sales efforts, networking, community relationships, and lead follow-up.

• Manage catering and social event opportunities from initial inquiry through event completion.

• Conduct property tours and showcase hotel spaces, amenities, and event offerings to prospective clients.

• Create proposals, contracts, event details, and other client-facing documentation.

• Develop customized event experiences based on client needs, goals, and budgets.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for catering clients throughout the planning process.

• Partner with Culinary, Food & Beverage, Operations, Rooms, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure successful event execution.

• Create and maintain accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), ensuring details, pricing, and operational needs are communicated effectively.

• Attend BEO meetings and collaborate with operational teams to ensure event readiness.

• Monitor event details, timelines, and client expectations to ensure exceptional service delivery.

• Support on-site event execution and client needs as required.

• Build and maintain relationships with corporate accounts, social clients, local organizations, vendors, and community partners.

• Assist in planning and executing hotel activations, promotional events, seasonal programming, and lifestyle experiences that increase guest engagement and local visibility.

• Support the Director of Sales & Marketing with marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, and community outreach efforts.

• Identify opportunities to increase catering revenue, enhance brand awareness, and maximize utilization of hotel event spaces and outlets.

• Assist with content opportunities, event promotion, and collaboration with marketing partners to showcase the hotel and its amenities.

• Maintain accurate records, sales activity, and client information within CRM and sales systems.

• Provide outstanding service while representing Cascade Hotel Kansas City professionally within the community.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.
 

Qualifications
 

Required:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in catering sales, hotel sales, event management, hospitality marketing, or related hospitality experience.

• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and client needs simultaneously.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Food & Beverage, and leadership teams.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and sales/event systems.
 

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

• Marriott brand experience.

• Experience with hotel catering systems, CRM platforms, and BEO processes.

• Experience working in a full-service, lifestyle, luxury, or boutique hotel environment.

• Experience managing both corporate and social events.

• Experience supporting marketing initiatives, lifestyle programming, community partnerships, or hotel activations.
 

Schedule Requirements

• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional event-related shifts as business needs require.

• Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.

• The hotel operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
