About the Role
Lafayette Federal Credit Union is seeking an Administrative Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for employees, members, visitors, vendors, and business partners while providing administrative support across the organization.
This highly visible role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, creating positive first impressions, staying organized, and helping ensure the office operates efficiently each day. As the face of our headquarters office, the Administrative Assistant plays an important role in delivering exceptional service while supporting a variety of administrative, operational, and employee-focused initiatives.
This position offers exposure to all levels of the organization.

What You Will Do
Front Desk and Reception
- Greet and assist employees, members, guests, vendors, and visitors in a professional, welcoming, and friendly manner.
- Serve as the primary receptionist and first point of contact for visitors entering the headquarters office.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls and inquiries.
- Coordinate visitor access and maintain visitor logs as required.
- Ensure reception, conference rooms, and common areas maintain a professional and welcoming appearance.
Administrative and Office Support
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to departments across the organization.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Manage inventory and ordering of office supplies, kitchen supplies, and other common office resources.
- Assist with maintaining organized workspaces, conference rooms, and common areas.
- Support invoice processing, reconciliations, recordkeeping, and other administrative activities.
Meeting, Event, and Administrative Support
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings, employee programs, and company-wide events.
- Coordinate meeting logistics, materials, room setup, catering, and related administrative support.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, volunteer activities, and special events.
Operational and Project Support
- Assist with special projects and departmental initiatives as assigned.
- Provide backup administrative support to ensure continuity of operations.
- Help identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and workplace efficiency.
- Support onboarding activities and organizational communications as needed.
Compliance and Professional Development
- Maintain compliance with Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Complete all required annual training, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), OFAC, Cybersecurity, Diversity & Inclusion, Anti-Harassment, and Fair Lending.
- Maintain a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Two or more years of administrative, receptionist, office support, customer service, or related experience.
- Experience supporting executives, boards, or senior leadership is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Professional demeanor, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, flexibility, and dependability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and commitment to exceptional service.

Pay: $45,000 - $52,000 annually (or $21.63 - $25.00/hr) depending on experience and qualifications.
