Senior Corporate Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for various month-end close duties, including account reconciliations, intercompany accounting and assisting with various internal and external financial reporting. This role partners closely with the Corporate Accounting Manager and cross-functional leaders to drive financial integrity, operational efficiency, and informed business decision-making.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities


  • Review and reconcile general ledger  accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
  • Responsible for accounting and reconciliation of accruals (benefits, insurance, audit, legal, interest etc.)
  • Prepare the monthly lease entry and provide the  trial balance for reconciliation purposes
  • Prepare the analysis and the coding for the monthly credit card activity.
  • Prepare intercompany billings, allocations and reconciliations
  • Responsible for bank account reconciliations
  • Work with team to improve processes and gain efficiencies
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing  processes, including the preparation of adjusting entries and accruals
  • Assist with external audit including preparation  of audit schedules and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
  • Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and special  projects as needed
Requirements

  

Job Requirements


  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, advanced  Excel skills preferred
  • Excellent analytical, organization,  written and verbal communication
  • Strong problem-solving skills to  analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable items
  • Self-motivated with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Proactive and detail-oriented
  • Understanding of and ability to  adhere to generally accepted accounting principles


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field required 
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred
  • 3+  years of experience in  an accounting or finance role
