Description
To ensure human resources functions are uniformly applied, operate within the policies and guidelines established, and comply with regulations. Activities include job analysis, salary administration, team member onboarding and offboarding, HR-related development and training, FMLA administration, and backup to critical HR functions such as payroll, benefits administration.
This role will be located in Tuscaloosa, AL.
Requirements
Experience: Three to five years of similar or related experience in Human Resources.
Education: Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field such as HR or Management).

- Ability to travel independently as needed (less than 5%) within state and occasionally out of state
Technical Skills:
- Personal computer to include MS Word, strong Excel, and ability to use web and web-based applications
- Knowledge or ability to learn quickly the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
- Ability to create professional presentations using software (PowerPoint, Prezi, etc.)
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, such as EEO, FLSA, FMLA, ADAAA, ADEA, PDA, FFCRA, Civil Rights Act, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA/HITECH.
Leadership Skills:
- Ability to comprehend and apply rules and guidelines appropriately within position
- Ability to prepare and make comprehensive presentations and professionally communicate before internal audiences (presentations, training sessions, meetings) and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, sponsor representatives, and the general public
- Ability to complete assigned projects within prescribed time frames
- Knowledge of communication strategies for the purpose of furthering HR department goals and objectives related to the Alabama Credit Union strategic plan
Industry Knowledge:
- Working knowledge and understanding of governmental regulations for financial institutions
- Working knowledge of products offered by Alabama Credit Union

Min: $22.76 Mid: $28.45 Max: $34.13
