About Vala’s

Located in Gretna, Nebraska, Vala’s is a family owned and operated fall festival open to the public 45 to 55 days a year and is a treasured fall tradition for many families in the surrounding communities. Vala’s property spans 400+ acres, including over 50 attractions, such as pick-your-own pumpkins, apples, and flowers, and over 25+ food locations. Our mission at Vala’s is to bring happiness to the world by creating a place where magical memories are shared between families and friends- one person, one pumpkin, one experience at a time.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

As a part of the rides and attractions team, this position is responsible for monitoring attractions on the farm. This includes a variety of attractions such as pedal carts, big slide ride, jumping pillows and Slide Mountain. Guest interaction is required. This position reports to the location Team Leader and/or Supervisor. This is a seasonal, part to full time position. 

• Ability to monitor and provide instructions to guests
• Ability to perform all safety checks prior to attraction use
• Ability to monitor the attraction, following all safety and operational procedures 
• Interacts with guests in a friendly manner at all times
• Works well in a fast paced, team environment
• Ability to work in variable weather conditions
• Ability to walk or stand on variable surfaces, including sand, mulch, concrete, or steel platforms
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb, twist, and reach for extended periods
• Ability to move 25 lbs
• Interest in attractions and guest service- no experience required
