About Vala’s

Located in Gretna, Nebraska, Vala’s is a family owned and operated fall festival open to the public 45 to 55 days a year and is a treasured fall tradition for many families in the surrounding communities. Vala’s property spans 400+ acres, including over 50 attractions, such as pick-your-own pumpkins, apples, and flowers, and over 25+ food locations. Our mission at Vala’s is to bring happiness to the world by creating a place where magical memories are shared between families and friends- one person, one pumpkin, one experience at a time.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

As a part of the retail team, this position is responsible for executing transactions and processing payments from guests utilizing our point of sale (POS) system. This is a guest facing position, and may also assist with stocking shelves and replenishing inventory, as needed. This position reports to the location Team Leader or Retail Area Manager. This is a seasonal, part to full time position. Location may vary based on business needs.

• Accurately record sales using POS system
• Accept payment and process transactions
• Ability to lift and place retail items on shelves 
• Interact with guests in a friendly manner at all times
• Works well in a fast paced, team environment
• Ability to quickly resolve guest issues 
• Ability to work in variable weather conditions
• Ability to lift 25 lbs, 25-50 lbs frequently
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, twist and reach for extended periods of time
• Interest in guest service- experience not required
