About Vala’s

Located in Gretna, Nebraska, Vala’s is a family owned and operated fall festival open to the public 45 to 55 days a year and is a treasured fall tradition for many families in the surrounding communities. Vala’s property spans 400+ acres, including over 50 attractions, such as pick-your-own pumpkins, apples, and flowers, and over 25+ food locations. Our mission at Vala’s is to bring happiness to the world by creating a place where magical memories are shared between families and friends- one person, one pumpkin, one experience at a time.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

As a part of the cider team, this position is responsible for supporting the pressing of apples and production of both sweet and hard cider. Staff may also assist in packaging and bottling of ciders as well as storing finished product until ready for sale. Additionally, this role supports the supplying of locations through filling and delivering order requests throughout the business day as well as regular warehouse operations. This position reports to the location Team Leader. This is a seasonal, part to full time position.

• Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, twist and reach for extended periods of time
• Ability to work safely around industrial processing equipment
• Ability to load and unload kegs and cases of bottles
• Ability to safely transport and/or store perishable and nonperishable items according to best practices and policy
• Ability to lift up to 60-70 lbs throughout each shift
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• Successful completion of Vala’s Alcohol Service Training
• Works well in a fast paced, team environment
• Strong communication skills
• Interest in cider operations- no experience required
• Training to operate farm vehicles and equipment provided as needed for this position
