About Vala’s

Located in Gretna, Nebraska, Vala’s is a family owned and operated fall festival open to the public 45 to 55 days a year and is a treasured fall tradition for many families in the surrounding communities. Vala’s property spans 400+ acres, including over 50 attractions, such as pick-your-own pumpkins, apples, and flowers, and over 25+ food locations. Our mission at Vala’s is to bring happiness to the world by creating a place where magical memories are shared between families and friends- one person, one pumpkin, one experience at a time

Responsibilities & Requirements: 

As part of the entertainment team, this position is responsible for welcoming and entertaining guests around the farm to enhance the guest experience. This includes Farmer Jack mascot, the Pumpkin Eating Dragon Show, and other strolling characters. This position reports to the Director of Marketing and Entertainment. This is a seasonal, part to full time position. 

• Provide entertainment to guests, including photo opportunities
• Ability to maintain a welcoming, friendly attitude
• Ensure customer service is the focus for each guest interaction
• Care for and maintain outfits/costumes
• Ability to handle crowd control while moving around the farm
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, twist and reach for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in variable weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
• Strong communication skills
