Recruiter/HR Generalist
Description

Position Summary

Community Impact moves fast, and so does this role. You’ll wear two hats well: you own our full-cycle recruiting day to day — keeping the pipeline moving, hiring managers informed, and your metrics sharp — while also serving as a trusted HR generalist across onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and learning & development. This is a role for someone who can juggle a heavy, shifting workload without dropping balls, bring structure to hiring, and help our people and leaders grow.  In office 3 days a week.

What You’ll Own

Full-Cycle Recruiting (primary focus)

  • Manage the recruiting pipeline daily — sourcing, screening, scheduling, interviewing, offers, and close — across multiple open roles at once.
  • Partner with hiring managers from intake to hire: align on the scorecard, set expectations, and keep them informed at every stage so nothing stalls.
  • Own and source your own candidate pipelines; build talent pools for recurring and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Know your numbers — track and report time-to-fill, pipeline health, source effectiveness, and offer-accept rates, and use them to improve the process.
  • Deliver a candidate experience that reflects CI’s brand from first touch to day one.

HR Generalist Operations

  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for employee questions on HR, recruitment, employee relations, L&D, and policy.
  • Coordinate end-to-end onboarding so new team members feel supported, valued, and ready for day one.
  • Build HR reports and/or dashboards that support informed decisions.
  • Apply working knowledge of employment law (FLSA, FMLA, Texas and federal requirements) and keep policies current.

Learning, Development & Leadership Support

  • Design and deliver training that helps employees and managers grow.
  • Support leadership development — partnering with and coaching managers on hiring well, developing their people, and holding the bar.
  • Contribute to or lead HR projects: workflow improvements, system updates, and policy refinement.

Culture & Continuous Improvement

  • Look for ways to streamline and make HR processes more employee-friendly, including using AI tools to streamline systems, workflows, and reporting.
  • Help lead events that celebrate team culture and company milestones.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years in an HR generalist role with hands-on full-cycle recruiting ownership.
  • Experience with Paylocity (or a comparable ATS) — required.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations (FLSA, FMLA, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume, shifting workload and keep multiple stakeholders informed.
  • Comfort with HRIS platforms and a willingness to learn new systems.

Nice to Have

  • Spanish/English bilingual.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Sheets for reporting; Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Prior experience training or coaching managers/leaders.
