Position Overview

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Generalist partners with leaders and employees to deliver day-to-day HR support across employee relations, performance management, policy administration, compliance, and retention initiatives. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leadership while fostering a positive, compliant, and inclusive workplace.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR partner for assigned departments, providing guidance on employee relations, policies, and      workplace concerns.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
  • Coach leaders on performance management, corrective action, promotions, transfers, compensation changes, and terminations.
  • Administer attendance management and progressive discipline processes.
  • Partner with leadership to support employee engagement, retention, and development initiatives.
  • Hold regular meetings with managers to provide HR guidance and address workforce needs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Support HR functions including recruiting, payroll, benefits, compensation, and training as business needs require.
  • Assist with employment documentation, leave administration, and employee status changes.
  • Coordinate with Legal on employment claims and investigations as needed.
  • Support employee recognition programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop a strong understanding of supported business operations.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and quality requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

 Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in one or more HR disciplines, including employee relations, payroll, recruiting, compensation, benefits, or      training.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, including EEO, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, HIPAA, and related regulations.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, build relationships, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation for employee relations matters as needed.
  • Willingness to travel between local facilities (less than 5%).
