Description

Summary:

The Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions represents Keuka College while assisting all student populations, including domestic and international, undergraduate prospective students with the admissions and enrollment process. This position is responsible for regional travel, territory management, and follow up with inquiries, applicants, and enrolled students; will create a student-friendly admissions process.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Represent the College and provide prospective students, families, and school counselors with timely, relevant information about the educational opportunities at Keuka College.
  • Understand the details of academic programs and student-centered offices, including overall structure, curriculum highlights, unique selling points, services provided, etc., and recognize the value proposition for each of these areas.
  • Effectively manage an assigned recruitment territory, which includes the development of a comprehensive, data-informed travel schedule, the review and evaluation of candidate’s admissions applications, the execution of an intentional outreach and follow-up communication plan, the implementation of effective yield strategies and initiatives, etc.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual information sessions and one-on-one meetings.
  • Lead campus tours as necessary.
  • Assist and participate in admissions-related events.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; Master’s degree preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required at the time employment commences.
  • A reliable and insured personal vehicle.
  • Availability to work occasional weekend and evening hours.
  • Willing to travel approximately 20% of the time.
  • Ability to act independently and autonomously as an agent and positive reflection of Keuka College.
  • Excellent planning, interpersonal and organizational skills; excellent analytical, writing, and public speaking skills; commitment to student success. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong computer literacy skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Google Suite. Experience working with Slate, Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, Hubspot, or a similar customer relationship management or caseload management system is preferred.
  • Experience managing a caseload in positions such as admissions, sales, social work, account management, fundraising, talent acquisition, coaching, business development, etc. is preferred.
  • At least two years of professional experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Some evening and weekend hours are required.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
