Description

Oneida Professional Services is seeking an Audio-Visual Technician to support the Defense Information School (DINFOS) Technology & Logistics Support Services contract at Fort Meade, Maryland. This position is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operational support of audio, video, photography, and multimedia equipment used throughout DINFOS training, production, and administrative environments.

The successful candidate will support classroom technologies, production studios, photography and videography equipment, and audiovisual infrastructure while ensuring systems remain fully operational and available to support mission requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of audiovisual technologies, media production equipment, and electronic maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and support audiovisual, photography, and videography equipment.
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain cameras, lenses, tripods, microphones, projectors, audio recorders, video recorders, monitors, and related equipment.
  • Support classroom, conference room, studio, and production audiovisual systems.
  • Diagnose  and resolve equipment failures, connectivity issues, signal degradation, and system performance problems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure equipment reliability and operational readiness.
  • Support setup, operation, and teardown of audiovisual equipment for training events, presentations, productions, and special events.
  • Analyze existing audiovisual systems and recommend improvements, upgrades, and replacement solutions.
  • Maintain equipment inventory records, maintenance logs, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate repairs, warranty support, and technical assistance with vendors and manufacturers as required.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational safety requirements and established electronic maintenance procedures.
  • Support technology modernization initiatives and implementation of new audiovisual solutions.
  • Assist with photography, videography, print, graphics, and multimedia technology support activities as required.
Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining audiovisual, photography, videography, or multimedia equipment.
  • Knowledge of cameras, lenses, microphones, projectors, audio systems, video systems, monitors, and recording equipment.
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital audio and video signal types, formats, and resolution standards.
  • Experience supporting audiovisual systems in educational, production, broadcast, conference, or enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of electronic maintenance principles, procedures, and safety practices.
  • Ability to diagnose technical problems and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree, technical certification, or vocational training in Audio Visual Technology, Electronics, Broadcast Technology, Media Production, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, military, federal government, or educational organizations.
  • Experience supporting classroom technology, production studios, training facilities, or conference centers.
  • CTS (Certified Technology Specialist), CompTIA A+, or other relevant audiovisual or technical certifications.
  • Familiarity with digital media production workflows, video conferencing systems, and streaming technologies.
  • Experience supporting photography, videography, print production, or multimedia operations.
  • Knowledge of audiovisual control systems, signal routing, and media distribution technologies.
