Join us as a Mortgage Compliance Clerk II: 


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Mortgage Compliance Clerk. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our mortgage compliance processes adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mortgage compliance, excellent analytical skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in improving the company while working on team and individual projects.  

Requirements

Responsibilities: 

  •  Independently prepare regulatory reports and documentation. 
  • Collaborate with various departments to implement and maintain compliance. 
  • Develop procedures and training manuals for compliance processes. 
  • Respond and research high level inquiries from internal teams and regulatory authorities regarding compliance matters. 
  • Conduct regular reviews of mortgage files to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. 
  • Keep abreast of changes in mortgage laws and regulations and communicate updates to relevant teams. 

 Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 4-6 years proven experience in mortgage compliance, processing and/or underwriting within the financial industry.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations, including but not limited to RESPA, TILA, TRID, NMLS Call Report, HMDA, and Fair Lending.
  • Filing regulatory reports including the NMLS Call Report, HMDA, and Fair Lending. 
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite, QuestSoft, NContracts, and other relevant mortgage software.
