Description

Oneida Professional Services is seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Specialist to support the Defense Information School (DINFOS) Technology & Logistics Support Services contract at Fort Meade, Maryland. This position is responsible for supporting warehouse operations, inventory control, equipment accountability, receiving and shipping activities, and logistics functions that support DINFOS training and operational requirements.

The successful candidate will maintain inventory accuracy, manage storage areas, process equipment transactions, and assist with property accountability efforts while ensuring compliance with established logistics and supply management procedures. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse and logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing, issuing, transferring, and shipping equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain organized warehouse and storage areas to ensure efficient inventory management and accountability.
  • Process equipment receipts, transfers, turn-ins, disposals, and related logistics transactions.
  • Support inventory control activities including physical inventories, cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation efforts.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, warehouse documentation, and equipment accountability records.
  • Assist with property book and asset accountability processes.
  • Verify equipment authorizations and support supply request and fulfillment activities.
  • Research equipment availability and assist with sourcing and logistics coordination efforts.
  • Utilize automated inventory and logistics management systems to track assets and inventory transactions.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, shipping documentation, inventory records, and logistics reports.
  • Coordinate with logistics personnel, property custodians, maintenance teams, and government representatives to support mission requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with warehouse safety procedures, inventory management standards, and organizational policies.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and inventory accuracy.
Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Experience supporting warehouse operations, logistics management, inventory control, supply operations, or equipment accountability activities.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management principles and inventory control processes.
  • Familiarity with supply systems, logistics operations, and equipment accountability procedures.
  • Experience processing equipment requests, receipts, transfers, and turn-in transactions.
  • Knowledge of inventory tracking and warehouse documentation requirements.
  • Proficiency using computers and software applications to maintain records, prepare reports, and track inventory activities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with personnel at all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, military, federal government, educational, or training organizations.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems, inventory management software, or logistics applications.
  • Familiarity with property book operations, asset accountability, and government supply procedures.
  • Experience conducting physical inventories, audits, and inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution operations.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse material handling equipment.
  • Relevant logistics, warehouse operations, inventory management, or supply chain certifications.
  • Experience supporting information technology, audiovisual, broadcast, or training equipment inventories.
