The Field Driver is a dependable, safety-focused professional responsible for the timely transportation of packaging materials, produce, and agricultural equipment between company facilities and rural field locations. This role requires the operation of flatbed trucks, towing of trailers, and the movement of tractor and field equipment while maintaining the highest standards of driving and load safety, and efficiency. Additionally, operates forklifts to load, unload, and stage materials, ensuring products are handled securely and delivered in excellent condition.
Driving in rural areas during early morning and nighttime hours is required, including working overtime, weekends, and holidays.
The ability to effectively use a smartphone and GPS navigation applications, including locating and navigating to delivery and pickup locations using shared pin drops and map coordinates, is required.
Key Responsibilities*
• Provide outstanding service and support to internal company teams and customers.
• Operate a flatbed truck and tow trailers to transport packaging materials, produce, equipment, and related supplies.
• Deliver products to agricultural fields, farms, packing facilities, and other rural locations.
• Safely load, unload, and secure cargo to prevent damage during transport.
• Operate a forklift to move, stage, and load materials and products.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and trailer inspections.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, company safety policies, and transportation regulations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, warehouse personnel, and field crews regarding deliveries and schedules.
• Assist with warehouse duties, inventory organization, and material handling as needed.
• Keep vehicles, trailers, and equipment clean and in good working condition.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, safety concerns, or delivery issues promptly.
• Perform other duties and any other assigned responsibilities as required.
Qualifications: Education / Experience / Certifications / Skills / Abilities
• Experienced in providing outstanding service and support to co-workers and customers.

• Ability to remain focused in a busy environment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience driving flatbed trucks and towing trailers.
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to safely secure loads using straps, chains, and other tie-down equipment.
• Knowledge of vehicle inspection procedures and basic maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules efficiently.
• Comfortable driving on rural roads and accessing field locations in varying driving conditions.
• Ability to lift and move up to a minimum of 40 pounds regularly.
• Strong attention to safety, detail, and customer service.
• Ability to work Overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to drive at night in rural areas.
• Ability to use a smartphone and GPS navigation applications such as using shared pin drops and map coordinates.
Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum 2+ years of experience performing the aforementioned responsibilities.
• Familiarity with rural delivery routes and farm operations.
• Experience operating various material handling equipment.
Physical Requirements and Working Environment
