Rubb Building Systems is an American building manufacturer located in Sanford, Maine, specializing in the production and installation of high-quality steel-framed fabric buildings. We are committed to delivering durable, engineered fabric structures while maintaining a high standard of quality throughout design, production, and installation. As we continue to produce some of the finest frame-supported membrane structures in the world, we are seeking an Estimating Engineer to join our team. This individual will be a key member of our Sales team, and should bring a strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently while remaining efficient and accurate in their work.
The Estimating Engineer owns cost intelligence for Rubb's building projects. The primary function of this role is to close the estimate-to-actuals feedback loop, build reliable cost benchmarks, and translate that data into pricing that reflects what projects cost to deliver. This person works across sales, engineering, production, procurement, and finance to ensure every estimate is grounded in current, accurate cost assumptions, and communicates cost performance and KPI targets to operational leaders to drive accountability at the project level.
Reporting to the VP Sales & Marketing, the Estimating Engineer role starts at $110,000 per year, with actual compensation, including Paid Time Off, reflecting the candidate’s experience and qualifications. Rubb also offers a generous benefits package, including employer-subsidized Medical Insurance, a 401(k) with company match, affordable Dental and Vision Insurance, paid holiday time for the nine days Rubb is closed each year, and company-provided Life, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability Insurance.

- Engage Planning and Engineering on continuous improvement initiatives including value engineering, by refining estimating templates, workflows, reporting, and decision-support tools to enhance consistency, speed, and accuracy.
