Description

Position Summary

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for generating qualified sales opportunities through proactive prospecting, lead qualification, and customer engagement. The SDR serves as the first point of contact for prospective customers and works closely with sales to build a healthy pipeline of new business opportunities. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify prospective customers within target industries and markets. 
  • Conduct outbound prospecting activities including phone calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and other channels. 
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads using established qualification criteria. 
  • Schedule meetings and discovery calls for Account Managers or Outside Sales Representatives. 
  • Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions within the CRM system. 
  • Develop and execute follow-up strategies for prospects not yet ready to buy. 
  • Collaborate with Account Managers or Outside Sales Representatives on lead-generation campaigns and event follow-up. 
  • Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitive activities. 
  • Meet or exceed activity, lead-generation, and pipeline-creation goals. 
  • Provide regular reporting on sales activities and results.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent business experience. 
  • Experience with CRM and ERP systems such as Salesforce and Acumatica is preferred. 
  • Experience with lead gen. systems such as ZoomInfo or Reply.io preferred. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong phone presence and prospecting abilities. 
  • Ability to build relationships and establish credibility with prospects. 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills. 
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and goal oriented.
