Job Title: Senior Manager, Product Delivery

POSITION SUMMARY:

CareMetx is seeking a Senior Manager of Product Delivery to lead one of two core product branches within our Product Delivery organization. This is a player-coach role: you will manage a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts while staying hands-on enough to step into PO work when the situation demands it -- whether that means covering during a critical initiative, unblocking a team during a complex sprint, or personally driving a high-priority capability through the lifecycle.

You will own the delivery roadmap for your branch, working closely with the POs on your team to define and sequence work across multiple development teams, coordinate cross-team dependencies within your branch and across the organization, and ensure that what gets built aligns with strategic priorities. You will facilitate quarterly roadmap assessments, prepare branch-level inputs for leadership reviews, and make sequencing recommendations when initiatives compete for capacity.

This role sits at the intersection of strategic product planning and execution leadership. You are not a pure people manager -- you are a product leader who also builds and develops a high-performing PO team.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Delivery Roadmap Ownership

  • Own the delivery roadmap for your branch, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and market needs
  • Define and sequence work across multiple development teams in coordination with your POs
  • Prepare branch-level inputs for weekly, monthly, and quarterly roadmap assessment cadences
  • Make sequencing tradeoff recommendations to the Sr Director when initiatives compete for capacity
  • Track delivery progress against committed roadmap items and surface risks early

Cross-Team Coordination

  • Coordinate cross-team dependencies within your branch and across branches
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment sessions involving Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and Client Delivery
  • Ensure operational intelligence from hub programs is incorporated into roadmap planning
  • Partner with the peer Senior Manager on the other branch to resolve cross-branch dependencies and shared priorities

Team Leadership and Development

  • Manage a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts, providing coaching, career development, and performance feedback
  • Set clear expectations for PO performance, including the target of 75% strategic time allocation enabled by BA support
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, remove blockers, and ensure your team has the context and resources to succeed
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making within the team

Hands-On Product Work (Player-Coach)

  • Step into PO work when needed -- covering during absences, leading critical initiatives, or unblocking teams during complex sprints
  • Maintain sufficient technical and domain depth to credibly review PO work, validate acceptance criteria, and engage with engineering leads
  • Personally drive high-priority, cross-team initiatives that span multiple POs within your branch
  • Stay current with the product domain, technology stack, and operational context of your branch

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Represent your branch in leadership reviews, QBRs, and cross-organizational planning sessions
  • Communicate roadmap progress, delivery risks, and strategic recommendations to PE leadership
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to ensure PM strategic intelligence is translated into actionable roadmap items
  • Coordinate with Client Delivery and Operations to ensure product decisions account for implementation and operational realities

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8-12 years of experience in product management, product ownership, or product delivery in a software/SaaS environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing or leading a team of product professionals (Product Owners, Product Managers, or Business Analysts)
  • Strong track record of owning and delivering against a product roadmap with multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Experience working in agile delivery models (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) with engineering teams
  • Ability to operate at both the strategic level (roadmap, prioritization, stakeholder alignment) and the tactical level (sprint planning, acceptance criteria, dependency resolution)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to leadership and collaborate across engineering, operations, and client-facing teams
  • Experience with cross-team dependency management and sequencing tradeoff decisions
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to make decisions with incomplete information

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Good to Have:

  • Experience in healthcare technology, specialty pharmaceuticals, patient access/hub services, or medical reimbursement
  • Familiarity with benefits verification, prior authorization, or patient assistance program workflows
  • Agile certification (Scrum Alliance, SAFe, or similar)
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and product analytics tools
