The Job
The Studio Manager manages and elevates our studio operations, including in-studio product photography, lighting design, project management, and team leadership, while collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality, on-brand product imagery. This role owns final image quality assurance and go-live approval to ensure all product imagery is accurate, complete, and meets brand standards before publication, and serves as the primary studio point of ownership for identifying and resolving image-related issues across the business.

The Opportunity
Product Photography and Content Production
- Execute in-studio product photography, ensuring high-quality visuals.
- Capture and manage studio-produced multimedia content as business needs evolve.
- Create and maintain technical lighting schemes for photo shoots and studio capture.
Studio Operations Management
- Collaborate with studio leadership to refine best practices and operational workflows.
- Manage studio budget, including models, supplies, and capital expenditures in partnership with leadership.
- Lead and manage a team of photographers and stylists, establishing and maintaining high standards for image quality, production efficiency, and operational excellence.
- Own final image quality assurance and go-live approval, ensuring all product imagery is accurate, complete, and ready for publication across customer-facing channels.
- Oversee vendor image sourcing, evaluation, and resolution of image-related issues to ensure consistency and completeness across the product catalog.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Serve as the subject matter expert for product imagery standards, partnering closely with Merchandising, Buying, Customer Care, Warehouse, Marketing, and Digital teams.
- Collaborate to ensure accurate, complete, and compelling product presentation across all channels.
Project Management
- Define and support studio workflows for initiatives and system changes impacting product imagery.
- Lead operational readiness activities, including testing, validation, and UAT for relevant systems.
Team Leadership
- Manage a team of direct reports, providing guidance, feedback, and development support.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance studio environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Must Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience in studio photography and videography
- Previous leadership or managerial experience
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Experience managing image production workflows, quality assurance processes, and cross-functional operational issue resolution
- Interest in snowsports and/or mountain biking
- Proficiency in image editing software
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across cross-functional teams

Technology
- Proficiency in photography and videography equipment and software
- Familiarity with digital asset management (DAM) systems
- Experience working across interconnected commerce, DAM, PIM, inventory, and content systems to support product image workflows

The base wage for this role ranges from $89,000.00/yr to $95,000.00/yr. Where you land in that range depends on your skills and experience, and we also factor in internal pay equity. While the full range is listed for this role, we rarely hire at the top of the range, leaving room for professional and financial growth in role.
