ABOUT THE ROLE:
SNAPSHOT: The Territory Sales Representative represents and acts as the “Face of Lyons” providing the highest level of customer service to our retail and foodservice customers. The role is responsible for servicing, maintaining, and growing existing accounts; while also, identifying, opening, and managing new business development within your territory to achieve and exceed revenue, profitability goals, and complete customer satisfaction.

- COMPENSATION: Base Salary + Commission, Bonus Eligibility, Car Allowance
- BENEFITS: Health, Dental, Vision, Basic Life, Short/Long Term Disability, PTO, 401(K)
- COMMITMENT: Full-Time (Monday-Friday at least 40 hours per week)
- TERRITORY: Greenville, MS, and surrounding areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represents Lyons in a professional manner by delivering exceptional customer service through direct communication, in-person visits, and in-store support.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction while fostering profitable, long-term partnerships.
- Regularly call on, visit, and collaborate with existing and prospective customers within the assigned territory to assess current business needs and identify opportunities that support customer growth.
- Educate customers on Lyons Specialty Co.'s products, services, programs, promotional opportunities, sales reports, and credit terms to maximize business success.
- Ensures customers have the tools, resources, and training necessary to place orders accurately, efficiently, and consistently.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's core product offerings, planogram compliance, discontinued and inactive items, and recommended replacement products. Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, supply chain updates, and new company initiatives.
- Drive territory sales growth by acquiring new accounts and expanding business with existing customers to achieve or exceed established sales and gross profit goals.
- Partner with the Accounting Department and customers to ensure account balance remains current and credit terms are consistently met.
- Promote and represent the company by preparing for and participating in trade shows, customer conferences, and other sales and marketing events.
- Participate in all required sales meetings, including bi-weekly virtual meetings and monthly in-person meetings.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business operations and organizational objectives.
ABOUT YOU:
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in business or related fields is a plus.
- Demonstrated skills in territory management, account relationship building, and customer service.
- 3+ years' experience in C-store, grocery, foodservice, or related sales is preferred.
- Experience with consultative selling, upselling, and cross-selling within wholesale or distribution environments.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and mobile tools used for order entry, reporting, and communication.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and readiness to travel within the assigned territory.
- Must reside within the assigned territory. (Greenville, MS and surrounding areas)
