DIGITAL DENTAL TECHNICIAN

Objective of the Job

The Dental CAD/CAM Designer – Digital Dentures is responsible for designing high-quality removable prosthetics using advanced digital workflows with a primary focus on 3Shape Dental System. This role emphasizes full and partial digital dentures, utilizing intraoral scans, digital articulators, and CAM-ready workflows to produce precise, esthetic, and functional prosthetics.


Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday Full-Time

Requirements

  • 2+ years dental CAD/CAM experience
  • Proficiency in 3Shape Dental System
  • Strong knowledge of denture anatomy and occlusion
  • Experience with digital workflows and CAM outputs
  • Attention to detail and multitasking ability
  • High level organizational skills, time management skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment to consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to anticipate, identify and resolve problems in a timely and positive manner
  • Strong technology skills and the ability to leverage technology in work processes
  • Knowledge of principles, procedures and best practices in the industry

Preferred

  • Certified Dental Technician (CDT)
  • Experience with digital denture systems (Ivoclar, Lucitone Digital Print)
  • Knowledge of denture materials and manufacturing
  • Experience in high-volume lab environments
  • Familiarity with implant-supported overdentures

Key Responsibilities

  • Design full and partial dentures using 3Shape Dental System
  • Interpret digital impressions and intraoral scans
  • Execute digital denture workflows including setup, try-ins, and finals
  • Work with our design outsource partners by uploading and communicating the needed information.
  • Utilize 3Shape tools for occlusion, articulation, and smile design
  • Collaborate with clinicians to refine fit, function, and esthetics
  • Prepare and validate files for 3D printing and milling
  • Maintain accurate digital case documentation
  • Troubleshoot design issues and optimize workflow efficiency
  •  Stay current with 3Shape updates and digital denture advancements
  • When denture design is perfected, begin cross training with crown and bridge design team
