About CloudBees

CloudBees helps organizations build, run, and govern software factories, giving enterprises the confidence to ship software better, faster, and safer.

Writing code is no longer the bottleneck. Governing what reaches production and validating its impact is. As enterprises adopt agentic coding, software is created faster than most teams can review, secure, and validate. Without consistent governance, organizations risk shipping code they cannot explain, audit, or trust.

CloudBees addresses this challenge without asking teams to replace the tools they already use. Across every toolchain a customer runs, CloudBees makes each change, human or AI, visible, auditable, and accountable before it reaches production. CloudBees Unify is the product behind this: a governance layer, with context and control-plane capabilities, that enforces consistent policy and evidence across every tool, team, and workflow.

Founded in 2010, CloudBees is backed by Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Bridgepoint Capital, HSBC, Golub Capital, Delta-v Capital, Matrix Partners, and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

About the Role

Our Consultants are strategic partners helping enterprises transform how software is built, secured, and delivered, working at the intersection of DevOps, Platform Engineering, and AI-powered software delivery.

The role blends strategic advisory, technical leadership, and hands-on delivery. You'll lead executive discussions on platform and AI strategy one day, and work directly with engineering teams to design delivery platforms and automate workflows the next, including hands-on troubleshooting where it delivers immediate value. Throughout, you'll act as a trusted advisor helping customers navigate both technology and organizational change, guiding them toward modern software factories that combine human expertise with AI-powered capability.

What You'll Do

  • Act as a trusted advisor, helping customers define and execute software delivery, platform engineering, and AI adoption strategies aligned to business outcomes.
  • Assess current delivery capabilities and build transformation roadmaps that improve productivity, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Design modern DevOps, Platform Engineering, and AI-enabled delivery architectures; lead discovery workshops and architecture reviews.
  • Build proofs of concept, reference architectures, and pilot programs that demonstrate measurable value.
  • Guide customers in adopting AI-assisted development, agentic workflows, and intelligent automation.
  • Communicate effectively across audiences, from engineers to executive leadership.
  • Partner with Sales, Solution Engineering, Product, and Services teams to deliver customer outcomes and support critical escalations.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer, feeding field insights back into CloudBees' product and go-to-market strategy.
  • Develop deep expertise in CloudBees solutions and emerging practices (DevOps, Platform Engineering, AI-assisted development); contribute thought leadership through presentations, workshops, and enablement.
  • Mentor colleagues and CloudBees partners, and travel occasionally for customer workshops and company events.

What You'll Bring

Required:

  • 7+ years in consulting, solutions architecture, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related customer-facing technical roles.
  • Proven experience advising customers on DevOps, software delivery modernization, platform engineering, or cloud transformation.
  • Strong grasp of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, observability, security, and cloud-native architecture, with hands-on experience designing and implementing these at enterprise scale.
  • Hands-on experience with a major public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and a scripting/programming language (Python, Shell, Go, Java, or similar).
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms such as CloudBees, Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, Harness, or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills; ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes for audiences from engineers to executives.

Preferred (not required):

  • Experience leading enterprise-wide DevOps, Platform Engineering, or software delivery transformation programs.
  • Cloud, Kubernetes, DevOps, or security certifications.
  • Software development background and understanding of modern application architectures.
  • Experience with platform strategy, DevEx, or internal developer platforms (IDPs).
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled development, agentic workflows, LLMs, or AI governance.
  • Experience with observability/telemetry platforms (OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, AppDynamics, Grafana).
  • Experience in regulated or large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Thought leadership via publications, conference speaking, or community involvement.
