Description

ComForCare Home Care is seeking a compassionate Caregiver / CNA to support an 86-year-old male client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). The client is a high fall risk and requires stand-by assistance at all times. He uses a walker and is able to stand and pivot with assistance. The client prefers a male caregiver for this assignment. The caregiver may also assist with transportation to appointments and activities.

Monday / Wednesday / Friday
11:00 AM – 3:00 PM


Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily activities to support independence at home 
  • Provide personal care assistance 
  • Support meal planning, preparation, and feeding 
  • Light housekeeping and maintaining a safe home environment 
  • Provide companionship and emotional support 
  • Assist with bed bathing, turning, and changing 

Personal Care Services

  • Bathing, dressing, nail and skin care, oral hygiene 
  • Transfers, ambulation, and use of assistive devices (walker, cane, etc.) 
  • Toileting assistance and incontinence care 
  • Range of motion exercises and positioning assistance 
  • Meal preparation and feeding support 
  • Emotional support, conversation, and engagement activities 
  • Proper documentation and adherence to agency policies 
  • Infection control and safety procedures compliance 

Household Management

  • Light housekeeping (bed linens, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal) 
  • Bathroom and kitchen cleaning 
  • Client-only laundry 
  • Grocery shopping 
  • Other duties as agreed upon with client and agency 
Requirements
  • Passion for helping others and providing quality care 
  • High school diploma or GED 
  • Previous caregiver experience (home care or facility) 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation 
  • CNA certification (preferred but not required) 
  • CPR certification 
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray 
  • Must be 18 years or older 
  • Ability to safely perform physical caregiving tasks
