JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
Dependable Maintenance Technician to ensure our I/DD facilities, residences, and offices remain safe, clean, and fully operational. Staff will support the Property Team with routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and inspections to support a comfortable and compliant environment for residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance
- Respond promptly to repair requests with minimal disruption
- Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and structural systems
- Assist with landscaping and groundskeeping
- Move furniture/equipment as needed for residents and activities
- Track and complete work orders using maintenance software
- Respond to after-hours emergencies when assigned and as needed
- Coordinate with and oversee external contractors and vendors
- Keep maintenance areas clean, organized, and safe
- Manage the inventory of tools and equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; trade/vocational training preferred
- Experience in maintenance or a similar role
- Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and general repair skills
- Comfortable using hand/power tools and maintenance software
- Understanding safety codes and a willingness to learn compliance regulations
- Professional and respectful when interacting with individuals with disabilities
- Able to lift 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
Preferred Certifications (or willingness to obtain):
- HVAC, EPA, electrical, or plumbing certifications
- OSHA 10/30 training
- CPR/First Aid
Work Environment:
- The facility supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Must maintain professionalism, discretion, and sensitivity in all interactions
- Occasional on-call hours, including nights and weekends
Hours/ Days of Work Monday–Friday:
General Hours of Operation: 8:00 am-5:00 pm | Full Time | Hourly | Non-Exempt
