The Inventory and Inbound Logistics Manager is responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and strategic management of all inventory across Arcadia Beverage, including raw materials, ingredients, packaging, work-in-process, and finished goods. Reporting to the Vice President of Supply Chain, this role owns inventory control, cycle counting, inventory analytics, yard management, inbound transportation, supplier delivery performance, and material availability. Working closely with Procurement, Planning, Operations, Receiving, Shipping, Quality, and Finance, this leader ensures accurate inventory records, reliable inbound material flow, efficient yard operations, and proactive management of supplier and carrier performance to support production commitments and customer service.

What You’ll Do:

Inventory Management and Control

  • Own inventory accuracy across all raw materials, ingredients, packaging, work-in-process, and finished goods.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain a robust cycle counting program using ABC inventory classification methodologies.
  • Establish inventory governance processes and inventory control standards across the organization.
  • Lead physical inventories and inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Monitor and reduce inventory shrinkage, handling damage, write-offs, and inventory adjustments.
  • Ensure accurate inventory transactions and inventory traceability throughout the facility.
  • Partner with Planning, Operations, Shipping, Quality, and Receiving to ensure inventory records accurately reflect physical inventory.
  • Develop and maintain inventory audit processes to verify compliance with established inventory procedures, including track and trace protocols.
  • Manage product disposition and life cycle, including inventory aging, obsolete inventory, and slow-moving inventory.

Inventory Analytics and KPI Management

  • Develop and maintain inventory dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools.
  • Establish inventory performance metrics and accountability processes.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting to Supply Chain and Operations leadership.
  • Analyze inventory trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Own key performance indicators including inventory accuracy, cycle count accuracy, inventory shrinkage, handling damage, inventory turns, inventory aging, obsolete inventory, inventory service levels, inventory audit compliance, and material availability performance.

Inbound Logistics Management

  • Own inbound transportation strategy and execution for all ingredients, raw materials, packaging materials, and bulk commodities.
  • Manage supplier delivery performance and inbound service levels.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for dedicated carrier relationships and performance management.
  • Coordinate inbound transportation requirements with Procurement, Planning, and Operations.
  • Monitor inbound carrier performance, on-time delivery, capacity, and freight cost trends.
  • Partner with Procurement on supplier logistics reviews and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to inbound transportation efficiency and reliability.

Yard Management

  • Own all yard operations including trailer inventory, tanker inventory, drop lots, and off-site yard locations.
  • Maintain accurate visibility of all trailers and tank inventory located on-site and off-site.
  • Develop yard management processes, controls, and reporting systems.
  • Monitor yard utilization and capacity requirements.
  • Coordinate trailer movement requirements with carriers, warehouse operations, and transportation providers.
  • Improve trailer turn times and overall yard efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain yard performance KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and operational requirements related to yard activities.

Material Availability and Supply Risk Management

  • Monitor inventory levels and supply risks for critical materials and ingredients.
  • Partner with Procurement and Planning to establish inventory policies and safety stock strategies.
  • Identify potential shortages and proactively develop mitigation plans.
  • Support business continuity planning for critical materials and suppliers.
  • Provide visibility to inventory risks, supply constraints, and potential service impacts.

Inventory Governance and Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with Receiving, Planning, Procurement, Operations, Shipping, Quality, and Finance to establish and maintain inventory control standards across all inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, production consumption, adjustments, and shipments.
  • Lead inventory audits, discrepancy investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to ensure inventory accuracy and accountability across the organization.
  • Develop and standardize inventory processes, controls, KPIs, and best practices that improve inventory integrity, material visibility, and inbound supply chain performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving efficiency, enhancing service levels, and strengthening inventory management capabilities through process improvements, system enhancements, reporting tools, and technology implementation, including ERP utilization.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and food safety by following company rules and standards, enforcing the requirements, and communicating violations or concerns to the leadership team.


Requirements

What We’re Looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum five years of experience in inventory management, logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing robust cycle counting programs.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing inbound transportation, supplier logistics, and carrier performance.
  • Advanced ERP system experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive operational improvements.
  • Food and beverage manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience managing liquid bulk ingredients and tanker logistics preferred.
  • APICS or ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred.
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience preferred.
  • Experience with SQF, FDA, and regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Advanced Excel, Power BI, and data visualization skills preferred.
  • Ability to work on the production floor and in the yard as needed, including standing for extended periods and working in environments with varying temperatures and weather conditions.
