About the Role
The Tool Crib Attendant provides day-to-day operational support for the Tool Crib department, ensuring the plant floor receives accurate, timely tooling and that inventory levels are maintained.
What You'll Do
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Tool Crib Attendant consist of but are not limited to:
- Kit tools per tool card requirements and ensure timely delivery to Tool Kitting Technicians
- Issue and receive tooling returns to and from the plant floor
- Monitor production schedules; print tool cards and respond to schedule changes as directed
- Assist with purchase order data entry, pricing updates, and PO suggestions under direction of the Tooling Buyer – Production Support
- Assist with Maintenance (MTN) purchase orders
- Receive, sort, and put away incoming tooling inventory in a timely and organized manner
- Conduct fixture inspections as assigned
- Stock and maintain Tool Crib and vending machines as required
- Assist with Tool Crib inventory projects as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Other tasks as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two-year certificate in machine trades / maintenance preferred
- 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment in relation to machine setup and materials management preferred
- Basic computer proficiency required; prior ERP experience a plus
- Exposure to tooling, machining, or supply chain functions preferred but not required

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged standing with occasional twisting (80-90% of the workday)
- Various sitting periods throughout the shift
- Frequent lifting of materials up to 30 lbs., occasional lifting to 70 lbs.
- Pushing/pulling carts and/or pallet jacks
- Dexterity - with computers, ability to type, use of mouse, at a computer
- Continuous use of hands and upper extremities in fine and gross manipulation using various wrist positions and grip/pinch spans to operate equipment, push buttons, carry boxes, push carts, etc.
- Frequent firm grip with tools requiring torque to tighten machine parts, tooling, and fixtures
- Dexterity - with computers, ability to type, use of mouse, at a computer
- Must be able to meet customer demand requirements for performing visual inspection and/or other product acceptance activities with or without accommodation (only for positions in which this is a requirement of the job per the customer requirement)
