Title: Saw Operator 

Department(s): Warehouse 

Reports to: Plant Production Supervisor

Job Summary: Ensures the safe operation of a chop saw. Cuts wood stock to correct length and measurements.

Essential job functions:

• Cuts material as instructed
• Maintains equipment and ensures work area is always clean and safe.
• Monitor and maintain tooling quality and functionality.
• Orders and maintains proper inventory levels of materials
• Performs basic preventative maintenance on saw equipment.
• General labor.
• Takes direction from Group Leader and Supervisors
• Assures compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable federal, State and local codes, OSHA regulations and requirements
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 
• Operates of forklift
• Knowledge of Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
• Prioritize, schedule, and review work.

Qualifications:

• High school education. 
• Manufacturing experience required
• Must be able to lift heavy objects.
• Saw operator and/or Machinist background
