Sara’s House is a boutique retail store specializing in a curated selection of vintage, repurposed, and new home goods, apparel, and gift items. The Retail Associate is responsible for supporting daily retail operations at Sara’s House while delivering professional, high-quality customer service. This role ensures a positive customer experience by assisting with product selection, processing transactions, maintaining store presentation standards, and supporting inventory and merchandising activities. 

HOURS OF OPERATION: 

Friday & Saturday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM 

Hours and scheduling are subject to change based on business needs. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Greet and assist customers in a professional and courteous manner 
• Provide product information, recommendations, and assistance with selection 
• Process customer transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system 
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the retail space 
• Stock, restock, and merchandise products according to store standards 
• Assist with receiving, tagging, and displaying inventory 
• Support visual merchandising and store layout execution as directed 
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, availability, and store policies 
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the sales floor and work areas 
• Collaborate with team members to support daily operations and customer service goals 
• Perform other duties as assigned 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Must be at least 18 years of age 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
• Ability to provide consistent, professional customer service 
• Reliable transportation to and from work 
• Ability to work assigned Friday and Saturday evening shifts 
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred 
• Interest in home décor, vintage goods, fashion, or boutique retail environments 
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills 
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment 

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 lbs. 
• Retail boutique setting with low to moderate noise levels depending on customer activity
