Location: Corning ( 107 Arthur Street, Corning, NY 14830)
Work Hours/Schedule: Center open Monday-Friday 7:00 am - 6:00 pm
Shift: 10:00am-6:00pm (Monday- Friday)
Hours: 36.25 per week
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $18.40-20.69 based on education and years of exp.
Pay Frequency: Biweekly

Position Summary
This position implements Corning Children’s Center's vision, values and goals while executing administrative tasks and interacting with the program’s families, staff and public.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Acts as primary point of contact with clients, prospective clients and the public, establishing and maintaining friendly, welcoming, cooperative relations with staff and families
- Organizes and performs routine clerical functions including copying, filing, data entry, answering the phone, inventory management, and maintaining client attendance
- Manages order processing and accounts payable
- Maintains high standards of professional confidentiality
- Assists with scheduling classroom substitutes, as needed
- Secondary line of support to Operations and/or Development departments
- Other special projects and responsibilities as assigned (i.e. committee work, fundraisers/events, etc.)
- Dotted line duties as assigned

- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and sound judgment
- Ability to interface and communicate (verbally and in writing) effectively with all levels of personnel internal and external to the Center and with various cultures
- Strong problem-solving skills

- Detail oriented, manage multiple priorities
- Proficient MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Excel skills
- Enthusiastic, positive, and self-motivated, but also comfortable to work as part of the team

Education and Professional Certification
Preferred:
- Associate’s degree in Secretarial Science, Business Administration or equivalent work experience
Finance Dotted Line Responsibilities
• Collect and receive payments – Cash, check, credit card
• Managing/reconciling company credit cards and staff sign off acknowledgments
• Updating copies of yearly sliding fee scale
• Collecting Tuition Express Payment Forms
• Facilitating yearly family fee agreement collection
• Purchasing company supplies
• Maintaining family/finance files
• Running tuition reports
• Nightly deposits
• Assistance with Accounts payables/accounts receivables
• Assistance with finance Programs
Physical Requirements
· Required to lift up to 40 lbs.
· Continuously requires vision, hearing, and speaking.
· Frequently requires standing, fine dexterity, sitting, and handling.
· Occasionally requires walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, and crouching.
