We are seeking a Steward who understands that in a vibrant, high-volume food hall, cleanliness is not just a standard, it is part of the guest experience. This role matters because the shared spaces are where guests gather, connect, and form their first and lasting impressions. By maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across dining areas, restrooms, and common spaces, this role directly supports the success of every vendor and enhances the overall energy of the market. Through attention to detail, quick response, and pride in presentation, the Steward plays a key role in creating a space where guests feel comfortable, cared for, and excited to return.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain a positive, professional, and guest-focused approach with team members, vendors, and guests.
- Clean and maintain all public-facing areas including dining spaces, communal seating, walkways, entrances, and service corridors.
- Continuously monitor and clean high-touch surfaces such as tables, chairs, railings, trash receptacles, and condiment stations.
- Inspect, clean, and restock all public and employee restrooms frequently throughout each shift to ensure sanitation and presentation standards are met.
- Respond quickly to spills, debris, or safety hazards in dining and service areas to maintain a safe environment.
- Clear and reset tables in communal dining areas to support guest turnover and overall cleanliness.
- Remove trash and recycling from public areas, dining spaces, and back-of-house support areas as needed.
- Support vendor partners by maintaining shared cleanliness standards in common areas without interfering with individual operations.
- Perform routine inspections of the facility and report maintenance concerns, safety issues, or equipment needs to leadership.
- Maintain corridors, entryways, patios, and high-traffic areas in a clean, organized, and clutter-free condition.
- Learn and properly use all cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with safety standards.
- Stock and maintain janitorial closets, supply areas, and cleaning carts to ensure readiness at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized appearance of work carts and equipment.
- Assist with deep cleaning tasks, special projects, and event setup or breakdown as assigned.
- Respond to guest questions or concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating when needed.
- Follow all company safety, sanitation, and health regulations, including food hall and public health standards.
- Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with uniform and grooming standards.
- Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of proprietary, vendor, and guest information.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend for extended periods and lift up to 30+ pounds.
