SHINE Technologies is seeking a Production Technician to play a key role in supporting Neutron Radiography operations. This position focuses on executing critical pre-imaging and post-imaging tasks, including fixturing, tagging, and managing shipping and receiving workflows. The ideal candidate will contribute to the smooth operation of imaging processes and ensure high standards of quality and efficiency are maintained throughout.
Core work hours 10:00am - 6:00pm; Monday-Friday
The base salary range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00 per hour plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Production Technician:
- Support Radiography Operations
- Assist in the operation of Dual Energy Neutron Radiography system to ensure accurate and efficient imaging processes.
- Pre-Imaging Preparation
- Perform fixturing and tagging of components prior to imaging, ensuring proper alignment and identification for radiographic analysis.
- Post-Imaging Handling
- Manage the handling, tagging, and documentation of components after imaging, maintaining traceability and quality standards.
- Shipping and Receiving
- Coordinate the packaging, labeling, and shipment of imaged components and receive incoming materials, ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
- Equipment Setup and Maintenance
- Set up and maintain fixtures, tools, and equipment used in imaging workflows, reporting any issues or malfunctions promptly.
- Documentation and Recordkeeping
- Maintain accurate records of imaging activities, component status, and shipping logs to support traceability and quality assurance.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with imaging technicians, quality engineers, and logistics personnel to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Safety and Compliance
- Follow all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines related to radiographic operations and material handling
- High School Degree required.
- Attention to Detail
- Ability to become certified and maintain certification as a Neutron Radiography (NR) Level 1
- Ability to operate various hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Desire to learn innovative technologies and concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Ability to pass medical examination as required for NDT personnel.
- Color Vision Requirement-Must have normal color vision; ability to accurately distinguish colors is essential for tagging, labeling, and interpreting visual indicators in imaging workflows.
- Ability to pass a background check and be eligible for licensure through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls. Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.
