Job Summary

ACI Building Systems is seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Supervisor to join our growing team. The EH&S Supervisor provides leadership, strategic direction, and hands-on coordination of all activities related to the company's environmental, health, and safety programs. This role is ideal for a technically proficient professional who thrives in an operations-focused environment and is committed to fostering a strong, proactive safety culture throughout the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive range of safety and environmental programs, policies, and procedures to ensure full compliance with applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.
  • Apply working knowledge of industrial processes to identify, correct, and continuously improve workplace conditions.
  • Establish and refine methods to evaluate, measure, and report on safety performance and progress.
  • Promote and strengthen the company's safety culture through coaching, mentoring, and positive influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Develop and deliver training on safety initiatives, standard work procedures, and the Emergency Action Plan (EAP).
  • Communicate safety-related incidents promptly and accurately to the appropriate personnel and departments.
  • Lead thorough incident investigations to determine root cause and recommend appropriate corrective actions and training plans.
  • Maintain accurate incident data, safety metrics, and compliance records.
  • Partner with Human Resources on the management of all workers' compensation cases.
  • Facilitate audits and inspections conducted by third parties and regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee water well compliance in accordance with the regulations and standards of the State of Mississippi.
  • Procure, distribute, and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety-related tools and resources.
  • Maintain a strong, hands-on presence on the production floor and throughout operations to support real-time safety oversight.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


  • Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant industry experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or operations environment is strongly preferred.
Requirements

  

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong technical and computer proficiency, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn and leverage safety management software, digital reporting tools, and related technologies.
  • In-depth understanding of current OSHA regulations, workers' compensation, emergency response planning and procedures, first aid, and CPR.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and ensure compliance with the State of Mississippi water well regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Proven hazard identification and risk assessment skills.
  • A hands-on, operations-oriented approach with the ability to work effectively alongside production teams and management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
