The Role 

We are seeking a Temporary Risk & Contract Specialist to provide administrative and operational support for the organization's contract management and risk processes. This role is responsible for assisting with contract preparation, review workflows, document management, data entry, tracking contract status, and ensuring required documentation is completed and maintained accurately. 


The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting internal stakeholders and external partners. This individual will play an important role in maintaining contract records, coordinating approvals, facilitating communications, and helping ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. 

Success in this role requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively across departments to support efficient contract and risk management processes.

Responsibilities 

Contract Administration & Reporting 

  • Support contract management activities by preparing, reviewing, routing, and maintaining agreements within the contract management database. 
  • Utilize the contract database to track contract status, facilitate review and approval workflows, and ensure accurate contract documentation and recordkeeping. 
  • Conduct rights, permissions, and compliance research related to content, licensing, and contractual obligations. 
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of contract terms, conditions, and requirements applicable to content acquisition, licensing, and product development agreements. 
  • Partner with Content and other internal teams to support the execution and administration of contract terms and obligations. 
  • Maintain the integrity of contract and rights management data through quality control reviews, audits, and process improvements. 
  • Assist with the creation, maintenance, and distribution of title reports and other department reporting on a weekly, monthly, and ad hoc basis. 
  • Prepare and distribute recurring reports, metrics, and data summaries to support business operations and decision-making. 
  • Respond to internal requests for contract, rights, and reporting information in a timely and professional manner.

  • Support department initiatives and perform other duties as assigned. 

Education, Experience and Skills desired:? 

  • 4-year degree in education, business, or related field  
  • Previous experience in contract administration and negotiation, helpful; 1-3 years’ experience in business or education. 
  • Proficient in Word and Excel, database experience a plus, and general computer proficiency needed.  
  • Experienced verbal and written communication skills necessary for interaction with Capstone’s internal and external customers.  
  • Self-starter who takes initiative, can work without supervision, and begin projects independently.

The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are surrounding compensation including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, work location, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the base range for this position is $19.00-23.00/hourly.
