Summary
A Senior Business Analyst at Augeo is accountable for more than requirements – they are a practice leader. You will bring structure to complex, cross-functional delivery; model and mentor what excellent analysis looks like; and lead the transformation of BA work through AI-enabled workflows. You will think in operating models: questioning how work flows, where ownership breaks down, and what needs to change structurally. AI is not optional – it is a core expectation
High-Level Job Requirements
- Requirements & Analysis: Elicit, refine, and document clear requirements; translate intent into user stories, workflows, rules, data conditions, and edge cases. Surface risk before it becomes a defect. Maintain acceptance criteria and traceability through the delivery lifecycle.
- Process & Practice Development: Assess delivery workflows, handoffs, & ownership structures; Identify process gaps, root causes, & recommend improvements that strengthen delivery scalability, cross-functional alignment, and accountability across teams.
- AI-Enabled Practice Leadership: AI is not optional in this role — it is a core competency. You will use AI tools daily to accelerate your work and raise the quality of BA output, lead the development of AI-integrated BA standards across the team, and identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks so practitioners can focus on higher-value analysis.
- Functional Validation & Stakeholder Support: Primary liaison between business and delivery. Validate that delivered solutions meet documented acceptance criteria and business intent; support UAT and core workflow validation; own resolution of identified gaps.
- Embrace Augeo's CORE values: Collaborative, Objective, Responsive, and Earnest in all areas.
Competencies
- Systems thinker who sees beyond deliverables – anticipating upstream and downstream impacts and interrogating the process and operating model context behind how we work.
- Strong written and verbal communication; bridges business, technical, and executive audiences with precision and adjusts framing and detail for each stakeholder level.
- Comfortable with ambiguity; can deliver confident, reasoned estimates without every detail and shifts into deep analytical mode when precision matters.
- Influential without authority – drives clarity and ownership through structured thinking, not position; willing to challenge up, across, and laterally when the work requires it.
Desired Skills & Tools
- Proficiency in Jira/Plans, Confluence, Rovo and the broader Atlassian suite – shaping how tools are used by the team, not just a user.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools including Claude, Copilot, and Rovo for analysis, documentation, and workflow improvement.
- Experience with process/workflow modeling tools and Agile/hybrid delivery frameworks.
- Technically fluent – comfortable reading API behavior, data outputs, or system logic to validate implementation.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years or Associate's degree and 7+ years of related experience.
- Demonstrated track record of practice improvement – standards, templates, training, or process redesign – in a mid-to-large organization.
- Evidence of AI tool adoption in day-to-day BA work, with the ability to articulate how it improved output.
