POSITION SUMMARY
The Homeownership Education & Learning Systems Manager leads the development, delivery, and growth of Habitat KC’s homeownership education programs. This role oversees curriculum design, learning technology platforms, community partnerships, and program sustainability initiatives to expand access to homeownership and financial education. The position will also help build the foundation for future program growth and team leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement Habitat KC’s homeownership education strategy and programs.
- Design engaging adult-learning curriculum on topics including homeownership, financial capability, credit, mortgage readiness, foreclosure prevention, and disaster preparedness.
- Create and maintain virtual, self-paced, instructor-led, and hybrid learning experiences.
- Administer learning management systems (LMS), educational technology platforms, and related website content.
- Monitor program outcomes, learner engagement, and platform performance to drive continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain partnerships with lenders, employers, educational institutions, government agencies, and community organizations.
- Represent Habitat KC at community and industry events.
- Support revenue generation through educational programs, sponsorships, partnerships, and grant opportunities.
- Develop systems, policies, and infrastructure to support future program expansion and staffing growth.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Community Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Three or more years of experience in program development, adult education, instructional design, learning technologies, workforce development, community engagement, or related areas.
- Experience developing curriculum and educational content for adult learners.
- Experience managing LMS platforms, websites, or other digital learning technologies.
- Strong project management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze data and use results to improve program effectiveness.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in housing counseling, financial education, mortgage lending, community development, workforce development, or nonprofit programming.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and online learning technologies.
- Familiarity with HUD housing counseling and homeownership education requirements.
- Experience launching new programs, developing earned-revenue initiatives, or leading business development efforts.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Speak and hear in order to communicate with others.
- Work at a desk or computer for extended periods of time.
- Move around the office, event, or construction sites.
- Apply physical dexterity, able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Must be able to independently operate a motor vehicle.
