Job Summary:

 A successful Title Recording Associate will acclimate well to the efficient, fast-paced, professional, caring work environment here at Stevens County Title & Escrow and join our mission in providing an unparalleled experience to our customers and colleagues. A Title Recording Associate is responsible for recordation of legal documentation including mortgages, deeds of trust, conveyance deeds, subordination agreements, etc. and will work within the title department and be responsible for the receipt, audit, preparation, recording, and indexing of legal instruments. This person will be familiar with all aspects of title work and have careful attention to detail.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Review documents for accuracy and insurability in order to meet Stevens County recording requirements
  • Review excise forms for accuracy and completeness in order to meet Stevens County Treasurer requirements
  • Upload and submit recording packages into the Simplifile system for e-recording
  • Ability to drive and record packages on-site at the county courthouse
  • Create and record reconveyance forms
  • Mail out recorded documents to the proper addresses
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years title examining experience
  • Commitment to growth in education and professional development in the title and escrow industry

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Walking/commuting to the courthouse

  

Compensation and Benefits Package:

· Pay range: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Salary Description
$18-$21/hr
